FIELD: medicine, in particular, oncology.
SUBSTANCE: new method prescribes inserting optical fiber catheter
associated with multi-channel optical spectrum analyzer via endoscope
into organ to be studied, allowing laser rays to pass through thiscatheter,
and determining intensity of fluorescence. Radiation is spectrum
red band. Intensity of dispersed laser component and spectrum of
fluorescence of portion of tissue under investigation and normal
mucous membrane is measured in range of 600 to800 nm. Degree of
diagnostic contrast is found by using formula presented in specification.
